Cask @ Calans, Hebden Bridge. Clear golden with a thick creamy head. Has a light sugary sweetness.

Hand-pulled half-pint in The Station Hotel, Oakengates on 17th Feb 2014. Light golden with a big creamy white head, clear and clean looking body. The beer carries light, subtle flavours, malts just about beating the floral and spicy hops into second place. Refreshing and well made: no strong flavours or character, but it doesn’t matter, this is a delicate beer to be sipped not rushed; give the flavours a chance to impress.

Cask, gravity at Merton Winter Beer Festival, 17th & 18th February 2012 Another one of those Pictish beers that Mes would describe settle with a trademark Pictich snowstorm, before then becoming wonderfully clear. Colour is straw as the description suggests and taste is decent but not as good as some Pictish and not as good as some on offer. However it was this beer that sold out first and I suppose for your more casual real ale drinker the softer tones of this beer, light hoppiness and relatively easy going bitterness were much more in favour, v.good but not great.
