Pale, golden beer with aromas of citrus and pine. A complex yet refreshing palate with biscuit, grapefruit and tropical flavours with a little underlying bitterness.

Foamy white head left a rocky creamy cover on a hazy vivid amber coloured body. Punchy tropical fruit & earthy aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & pillowy with nicely carbonated dry clean back. Bubble gum, stone fruit, earthy & herbal tastes with a bitter acrid finish. Tasty

Can (4.2% ABV) from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy golden body with a white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of lemon and grass. Flavour of chalky malt and lemon. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. A simple, straightforward beer. Decent.

16th June 2012, CAMRA Investors Club AGM: Victoria, Beeston. This hand pulled pint was my second beer from the Abbeydale brewery on the day: even paler than the Deception but very similar in smell and taste, maybe drier and hoppier but not my much. The same citrusy, grapefruity feel to the nose and flavours, with just a hint of the extra alcohol: pleasant but not really my thing.
