Bottle poured. Pours a dark reddish copper pour with a thin fizz head. Aroma of dough, dough, and dough. Super sweet flavor up front, but mellows. Not picking up much acetone, though somewhat expected. Sweet caramel, boozy finish. A little too sweet and the booze is a little dominating. Can’t really complain though. Pretty good beer.

10th rater, making this beer an adult. This is a flummoxing beer. A little garbagey smell but a nice grapey character. A good deal of alcohol. The flavor is way better than the aroma. A sweet, grapey malt-centric flavor. No hops, low carbonation. Sweet, fruity malty finish. I like to drink it way more than smell it.

Bottle, thanks sinh4! Hazy brown, with almost no head. Aroma is green Apple peel. Wood, chalk, caramel. Taste is fresh sourness, but also tanine heavy bitterness. Heavy mouthfeel with dry long finish. Overall nice green apple but too much bitterness.

Bottle courtesy of Marco Buraschi, many thanks! Murky brown color wih tan ring. Aroma is green apple peel, fussel oil, so much barrel. Was there wine yeast in the barrel? Taste is dusty, chalky, milky yeasts. Mouthfeel is soft (as usual for Sottobisio), but through the barrel aging, it lost a but too much. I like green apples, but the Barrel took over a bit too much. I am not convinced, it’s a bit too dry (probably because the barrel yeasts did their own thing).

Bottle thanks SinH4. Ester notes up front, apples. Cloudy brown, low brown head. Very dry, wood, roast notes, minerals, rest-sweetness was gobbled up by the beasties in the barrel I thjnk, the resulting fusel oils are too much for me.

Bottle at Monday Club Zurich, pre-release courtesy of Marco. Very pleasant aroma of young whisky or a Likör, boozy but with an aroma. Too young at the moment. Green cut aroma, fresh. Low carbonation, but this beer doesn’t need it. Dense and thick, warming and heavy. Well done!
