500ml bottle best before 12 May 2013: poured into a Uk pint sleeve on 16 July 2012. As pale as a Pale Ale can get without being anaemic: light golden actually with a thinning white head. The nose is hoppy and summer fruity; the taste follows the aromas almost to the letter with the hops becoming even more prominent towards the end of each gulp. The malt content although playing second fiddle to the hops are noticeable because the beer is far from an over hopped, bittering brew in any way. Considering it has been brewed for a supermarket chain I’m impressed with it’s quality.

50cl bottle. Straw with a thin white head and moderate carbonation; soft and flabby in the mouth, with a dry grainy flavour. Very uninspiring.
