19/2/2020. Cask at the Dove Street Inn, Ipswich. Pours amber with a bubbly white head. Aroma of citrus, malt, hops, berries and caramel. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with light tartness. Moderate body, slight watery texture, soft carbonation. What is it with these rugby themed beers?? I don’t think I’ve ever had a good one.

Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. 2017 version at 4.3% ABV. Bright amber with a ring of white head and a malty aroma; sweet malty taste with some raisins and a biscuity finish. Pleasant but very sweet.

Leeds Beer Festival 2015. Golden with a bushy-floral aroma and taste. Has a small sweetness to it too as well as a medium bitterness. Also seen in November 2017.

Hand pulled pint at the opening event of the refurbished ‘Elephant and Castle’ Dawley, Shropshire on 21st April 2012. This beer must have been re-brewed for this years (2012) 6 Nations. An off-white head sat on top of a clear dull golden body: the aroma was of biscuit maltiness with some dried fruit added. Taste-wise it followed the smells, semi-sweet biscuit feel with again some fruitiness in the flavours, a slight hop bitter finish balanced the sweetness nicely and I enjoyed my pint immensely.

Cask-conditioned at the Robin Hood, St Michael’s Hill, Bristol 12/02/2011. Amber with a decent, off-white head. Bready malt aroma with as touch of tangerine. Flavour of sweetish malts, with some more fruit and decent, bitter finish. Ok.
