One of the better high alcohol content lagers available. It’s taste is not overbearing like many of its contemporaries and maintains its lager flavour. Light-golden in colour without a head.

500ml can. Pours light gold with a large head. Aroma is sweet, rubbery alcohol. Taste is sweet, with rubber throughout and alcohol on the finish. A challenge.

I rarely buy cans of beer but I spied this red and black set, on a shelf in a pack of four and thought I’d give it a go: wish I hadn’t given away the other three now, this was OK. Easter Sunday 2012 I poured the 500ml (best before 22 Sep 2012) into my Abbot Ale glass tankard: looks like any regular lager/pilsner type beer, golden, bright, clean and clear with the usual thinning white head. The smell was fairly sweet and although I couldn’t smell any alcohol I thought this might be another one of those headache giving super lagers that are kicking about: that was not the case. The taste was semi-sweet, like the nose: again the alcohol was well hidden, this was refreshing and easy to drink and I certainly have another four pack if I ever see one again. Everything about it was fine.
