500ml screw top bottle from Beers of Europe: BBD 16 06 2015. Poured into a stemmed pilsner glass three times at home on 04 04 2015. Red hue to the body colour and a red berry flavour throughout. Semi-sweet base and easy to drink, different and I though unusual for a traditional German brewery’s beer (yes I know there are plenty of new styles being brewed in Germany these days.)

As Pyraser Bernreuther Rotbier. Tap at Nuremberger Alm. Brown-orange. Dunkel-like caramel nose, dried fruits, oranges. Fruity, malty flavor, caramel, light sweetness, prickly carbonations. Decently bitter and balanced.

(Draught at Vagabund Brauerei, Berlin, 23 July 2014) Amber colour with off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with toast, apricots, brown sugar, dried fruit and rye bread. Malty, slightly fruity taste with notes of apricots, toast, dried fruit, cereal and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

The beer starts smooth and highly drinkable. Malty and smooth in the mainpart. Slightly sourish with a nice malty body. Dry. But not dusty. The aftertaste is nice slightly bitter, slightly sourish and nice malty-dry.
A very nice brew! Highly drinkable and still full of character! --> 12/12/12/12

Draught. Pale amber with a thin head, looks a bit like cidona. Aroma is light malt. Flavor is sweetish malt, biscuity on a full mouth finish. First sip isn’t great but it grows
