(On tap @ Bellwoods Hafis Rd, Toronto, Sept 26/19) Pours nearly clear bright gold with a decent white head and lace. Notes of fairly complex cereal base with spicy rye, very musty and mineral (petrichor), light citrusy lactic acidity, soft tree fruit, yeast with a moderate funk, soft grassy/herbal hops, very dry all the way through the sip with a light bitterness and oaky drydown in the finish. Light bodied with good full effervescence. Well-made and elegant, a difficult pairing for me alongside one of the most interesting beers I've had in a while (The Qi) so probably I'm underselling this one a bit.

On tap at Arrogant Sour Festival 2019. Clear golden, white head. Dry and sweetish. Yeasty, some lemon, bitter finish. Light bodied.

Bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo and pours previously at Shelton Brothers. Pours a clearish glowing, straw gold color with a finger of foam that lingers. Lemon zest, musty stone fruit and muscat, minerals, wet hay. Clean and crisp with a slight mineral texture and floral component. More lemon, white grapfruit and muscat notes. Musty, wet hay that lingers on the finish with some light peppercorn notes. A fantastic American take on saison. Super drinkable at 5% as well.

750ml bottle thanks Rick. Pale golden pour with small, soft white head. Yeasty aroma, light citrus, some other fruitiness. Taste adds some savory characteristics, more of the yeasty flavors, mildly funky.

750mL bottle purchased from the brewery Summer 2016, drunk 1/8/17.
Deep, golden-brass body shows good clarity and a very large, white head with strong retention.
The nose is all Brett with light lactic character behind it. Thoroughly attenuated malts offer up remnants of honey and light biscuit. Tons of tart lemon, light streaks of oak and immense apple/peach/strawberry esters.
Massively attenuated in the mouth with just way too much fruity ester character and over-expressed Brett. Bready, twangy and punchy with too much lemon, light powdered sugar and massively expansive carbonation. Light wood tannin, soft wheat textures and no alcohol or flaw. This is what, 6 months old in the bottle? and just way, way, way overattenuated. Seems a lot of breweries are having that problem these days. It’s not like it’s unintended, as of course the critters and wild yeasts are going to eat the hell out of the remaining sugars. Whatever the case, maybe brewers should be taking it a little easy on the amount of wild yeasts and bugs going in to their beers when that beer is to be bottled and sold to go.

750ml bottle pours a very hazy yellow with some cloudy, white head. Nose has plenty of grass, straw and coriander seed, yeast, some lemon peel, a little dough, some flower petals. Flavor has coriander, straw, some white pepper, grass, mild mint and lavender, a little white flour. Finishes bone dry. Very nice.
