Der typische US-Bierstil India Pale Ale ist zum Steckenpferd der "Craftbier-Bewegung" Avanciert. "Craft" bedeutet handwerklich und individuell. Also genau das, was Palmbräu seit 1835 verkörpert! Das PPA ist kräftig eingebraut und noch kräftiger gehopft! Die sehr aromatischen US-Hopfen Calypso und Simcoe wurden erst kalt im Reifetank zugefügt, um möglichst alle Aromen zu erhalten. Es entsteht ein Bier, das viel zu komplex ist, um es zu beschreiben.

Bottle 330ml. @ [ Hotel Room tasting ] - DSG Crew room, Woerden, Netherlands. [ As Palmbräu BdM Palm Pale Ale ].Clear medium amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, sweet malt, pale malt, light caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, pale malt, bread. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160923] 5-3-5-3-11

Bottle. Reddish color with tan head. Aroma is raisins, oxidized, spruce. Taste is sticky, raisins, boozy. Medium carbonation. Oxidized, not too good.

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle at Best Western Woerden. Minimally hazy, golden amber with a beige head. Sweetish-malty aroma of caramel, honey and grains. Sweetish-malty, slightly grainy taste of honey, caramel and grains, followed by a short, slightly bitter finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Just okay.

Bottle shared at hotelroom tasting after Borefts Beer Festival Day 1. Clear orange to amber color, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, oxidised, old, dusty, bad old sweetness. Not good.

330ml bottle from trade with Erzengel. Many thanks! Pours deep murky amber, with thin, creamy off-white head. Aroma is fruity crystal malt, taste continues with some muggy tropical fruit flavours. Too murky for me, lacks good crisp definition.

Malzig würziger, fruchtig hopfiger Antrunk. Würziger werdend, etwas karamellig, die Aromen steigern sich im Mittelteil. Rundes stimmiges Bier. 10/11/11/11/12/11

Many thanks to kevnic2008! Fruity-floral nose. The beer starts fresh but sweet. Very sweet, nice perfumed hops, no bitterness. The body is heavy sweetish-malty, even the aftertaste has no bitterness. Only the soapy-floral hops are nice. Sweetish-sticky aftertaste.
