Gose (“GOES-UH”) is a traditional German sour ale. Once almost extinct, this beer is brewed with lactobacillus, salt and coriander to make a refreshingly crisp brew with lemon notes and a vibrant salinity. It comes in at 6 IBU and 4.3 percent ABV.

Can sample at a tasting at troubles' place. Thanks Stas. Hazy pale yellow with a white head. Great lacto, citrus, coriander, yogurt, some saltiness, light-bodied. Very good and refreshing.

Tap. Pours clear straw, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma of sour mash and sea air. Flavor is medium plus tart, light salty, huge lemon. Light body. Too much like drinking lemon juice.

Can split at CBC Islington, acquired by myself, 26/04/17. Pale yellow to blonde with a decent white cap. Nose is strawm funk, toasted grains, pissy citric peel. Taste comprises light citric sherbets, lemon rind, damp straw, light balsa wood, mellow salt kiss. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough Gose ... good refresher.

At a friend’s wedding: pours light orange. Aroma is lacto funk, light fruitiness. Taste is moderately sour with some light saltiness. Pretty good.

Can purchased from Trader Joes in Seattle. Minimal head but some prickly carbonation. Aroma has lightly sour yeast. Lemon and coriander are prominent. some salt, and lightly tart. Some wheat flavor. Refreshing.

Can shared by Kyle, thanks! Pours a clear very pale straw with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a combination of tart earthy fruits and straw. Flavor has tart lemon with a bit of tropical fruits with a hint of wheat.
