1/3 pint, draught, at Goose Island Brewpub, shared with Finn. Good lacing from a patchy, white head, misty red-brownish body. Earthy mid-sweet malts on the nose, hints of caramel. Caramel malty taste character, a bit doughy, lightly spiced. Brown malty ending, mildly roasted. Decent stuff. (London 15.11.2021).

Tap at BrewDog Liverpool. Deep ruby colour with an off white head. Slight hazing. aroma amd taste are malty with a hint of berry fruit. Medium crisp body.

Keg at BD Inverurie. It pours clear deep red with a nice reddish - khaki head. The aroma is earthy, wood, fresh cherry, nip of spice, toaster malt, green banana and juniper. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy, wood, leafy, spice, light tannin, toasted malts, slightly chalky, green banana, foamy banana candy, some bitterness and burnt toast with a drying, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A bit of a mixed bag hear. Lacks clarity.

Keg at Brewdog Tower Hill. A clear deep mahogany red brown coloured pour with a lasting beige frothy head. Aroma is big earthy bark, metal, copper penny, twigs,. Flavour is composed of dry woody roast, tarmac, bark, liquorice, singed pine, , dry finish. Palate is uber dry, powdery carbonation, burnt grass. Lingering harsh bitterness.
