Beautiful amber color; generous compact head. Light cereals aroma and flavor, low bitterness; quite boring indeed.

Bottle. Amber, not cloudy really, golden creamy head. Light metallic hops, honeycake malt, roast, a few berries. Chewy and fulfilling. Lingering dry hoppyness. Quite moreish.

I have a feeling people are rating two different beers. The Kellbier and Kellbier Dunkles. I am rating the latter. Dark brown color, frothy white head. Caramel and milk chocolate in the nose. The mouth is very malty. The depth isn’t there though. Light finish. Ok, but not up to their other beers.

Bottle, 5.0%. Fruity aroma, a little old-smelling. Hazy copper colour. Small stable off-white head. The flavour has a distinct toffee note. A little buttery, but not the usual diacetyl. Thin mouthfeel. OK bitterness. The toffee is too weird for me.

Ceramic mug. Thick, bubbly head looks nice atop a chestnut body. Big nutty caramel nose. Rich, toasty country dunkel with light spicy hops and a generally nutty accent. Off-dry finish.

Gravity pour at Spuyten Duyvil - dark copper pour - thick, soapy head - semi-bready, somewhat fruity aroma - some cherry-like fruitiness to the flavor - lightly bready and doughy - some apparent yeast in the flavor, not as clean as other beers I had this day - a little caramel like sweetness - not too shabby.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thinorange head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, while the flavor is sweet matly with notes of caramel as well as lighter notes of straw. Nothing exciting.
