Cask @ Barum Top Inn, Halifax. Mahogany coloured as stated in its notes with a creamy head. It’s a light tasting malty brew, nothing roasted or toasted but edging that way.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 29 October 2021. Medium brown in colour with a slight, off-white, head. Easy drinking, with a touch of brown sugar sweetness, Light maltiness, some berry and cocoa sweetness, leading to a gentle finish. Fine.

Cask @ JDW Montgomery's Tower. Pours a deep mahogany brown, small off-white head. Clean smooth toffee sweetness with a fairly low bitterness. Pretty decent brown ale to be fair.

Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours a dark ruby with a small cream head. Malts are to the fore in the aroma. Sharpness is the initial sensation in the mouth, but quickly the rich ,creamy, malty texture asserts itself. Some chocolate and a hint of coffee come along in due course. Finish is quite bitter and slightly spicy. This is rather nice.
