19/4/2023. Tap at Stod Fold Dean Clough, Halifax. Pours clear dee golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma is grainy, sweet malts, light butter, husky fruits, flowers, light herb. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Moderate body, average carbonation. Pretty decent pils.

Cask at the Reading beer festival. Gold colour. As a mid-session refresher it felt like what lagers are designed for. Buttery, yes, but with lemon hints and a light body this was the right thing at the right time. However I doubt I’d like it so much if I encountered it at another time of night and outside a festival.

Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival, KEGS. Cask. Clear gold beer, big bubbly white head. Palate is light, smooth and dry with fine minerally carbonation. Little vanilla sweetness. Light German style caraway nuttyness. A mild citric peel keeps it interesting and pretty drinkable. Light dry finish.

Gold with a small head. Full-bodied with a light pleasant malt base. Lageresque but still a cask ale.
