Can at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours clear, deep brown with a foamy, beige head. Medium to big sweet flavour with notes of creamy coffee, soft roast, gooey chocolate. Medium to full bodied, lightly oily, with fine, massaging carbonation. Sweet finish, sticky, lightly warming, notes of torched sugar, more sweet coffee, chocolate, brown bread, minimal bitterness. Perhaps borderline simple but overall really enjoyable.

Spandert av Rune. Delt i WC-veien. Svart. Middels høyt mokkafarget skum som daler sakte og etterlater litt lacing. God sjokolade/kaffe-aroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken søt. Melkesjokolade. Lakris. Kakao i ettersmaken. Ble litt uvariert.

Can picked up in the UK from Favourite Beers, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and consumed at home Thursday 28th October 2021. Listening to Marc Riley on 6 Music, we had a very nice Pilzpfanne mit Pancetta und Petersilie for tea. Pours dark brown/black with a creamy textured head light beige in colour. Coffee on the nose, roasty elements. Smooth in the mouth, creamy, a boozy cappuccino feel to this, though to be fair it doesn't taste its abv. Nice if a little predictable.

Can. Beer Central. Not far off black. Fine beige head is lasting and semi lacing. Nose has sweet vine fruit. Coffee truffle. Walnut cake. Taste is pretty sweet and milky, with a fair hit of vine fruit bitterness. Smooth and slick on the palate. Fine carbonation. A tad oily. A tad boozy, too. Not to any detriment, mind. Lingering vinous bitterness to finish.

Nose is coffee, coffee creme, vanilla, chocolate, filter coffee, milk chocolate, coffee sweets you used to get in Europe in the 90s, light fruitiness. Taste is cafe creme, lactose, cream, chocolate, vanilla ice cream, wafer, leading to a fruity finish with a faint hint of tar, filter coffee and a touch of ash. It's decent, but it's too sweet for me; cloying.
