Dry-hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic, and El Dorado, She Doesn’t Need U is the latest addition to our repertoire of cans. Landing at 7% on the dot, this IPA opens up with notes of ripe melon and fresh pear on the nose. To follow are tropical flavors, including a burst of pineapple that leads into a slightly dank, complimentary finish. It’s beautiful.

Cloudy medium orange body, thick marshmallowy cream head. Aroma passionfruit, papaya, and stone fruits. Body fairly crisp with light tart fruits, including white grape/white wine, pear, and lychee, with a peppery white tea element.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a hazy, glowing straw gold with a full two fingers of head. Lovely pineapple aromas with fresh cut pear and berry as it warms. More pear on the palate with some kiwi and more pineapple. Really solid with a dry finish.

Canned 3/10/22, drunk 3/29/22. Medium-to-heavily-hazy, pale, bronze-pale-lemon with medium-sized white head showing low retention. Pretty nice nelson-laced nose showing mango, passion fruit and light white wine. Mosaic and El Dorado add lightly sharp pine and generally bring down the nelson, but not enough to prevent this from being a juicy, tropical fruit luxury of a nose. Soft, heavily estery yeast and light honey and cracker malts are supportive. Clean with no alcohol or twang. In the mouth, it's soft, juicy, tropical and well-attenuated with ample, supple maltiness, juicy, tropical and white wine-laden hops and low pine and other lame mosaic and el dorado notes. Yeast is heavily fruity but not too bubble gummy. Quite dry, but still very juicy and still ample in its maltiness. Maybe just a bit too much peach/melon/yeast ester building up over the course of the glass, but otherwise quite fantastically drinkable, soft and juicy.
