Diese Neuinterpretation des um 1900 in britischen Pubs beliebten Ales hat eine fruchtig-würzige Hopfenaromatik mit weichen Malznoten und ausgewogener Bittere. Bei diesem erfrischenden „Mosaik“ aus Hopfen und Malz ist das Hopfenaroma intensiver und die Malznoten stärker ausgeprägt. Aromen von Orangenschale, rotem Pfeffer und Haselnuss runden das Ganze ab.

Hazy brown. Aroma is chestnut caramel light roast light grass. Taste is rather sharp bitterness and light mushroom with minimal caramel sweetness. For this amount of bitterness I either wish for some complexity or more sweetness...

On tap in Berlin on Sunday 14th May 2023. Nice mahogany body, stable beige head. Malty, caramel notes, nutty and earthy in nature. Decent Brown Ale.

Bottle drunk after sledding and mortaring walls. Clear medium brown, moderate tan head, mildly roasted grain nose with caramel hints. Taste follows through, adding some earthy hop bitterness and a bit of an astringent note that's bothersome. Maybe water is not playing well with the hops.

330 ml bottle. Clear brown-reddish with a small foamy head. Hazel nuts, caramel, orange peel, light citrus, metallic notes. Metallic bitterness, slightly sweet. Light bodied. oily watery texture, soft carbonated, metallic finish. Not so bad, but has this slightly unpleasant metallic taste.
