Bottle split at Chris & Ruth’s pre GBBF Shindig, 07/08/16. Golden amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is caramel, butterscotch, straw, bready malts. Taste comprises much the same, grains, sweet malt, all told overly buttery. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Found wanting.

Clear golden with medium white head. Aroma is honey, and lots of buttered corn, some noble hops. Taste is normal Helles stuff. Average tartness and not much else. Good fresh mouthfeel. Ok, I guess.

Bottle. Corn, sour grain, murky golden, offwhite lace, corned beef, creamed corn, light bodied, oxidized finish. No, sorry but something went wrong here.

Bottle. Golden color with white head. Aroma is corn and cardboad, some DMS, some honey. Taste is more corn, more honey and more cardboard. Surprisingly light for a Bock. Low carbonation. Meh.

Bottle shared at the chriso and Ruth pre GBBF Shindig 2016 - London. Day 1. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds cereal and honey. Medium sweet flavour with more cereal, biscuits, low bitterness. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Sugary finish, with further cereal, honey, biscuits. Not bad.

(swing top bottle, courtesy of Doctor Bock) Slightly hazy, golden colour with a delicately off-white mid-sized foamy head. Slightly honey-ish malty nose with a whiff of caramel and sulfur. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Mildly biscuity malty base with a whiff of caramel, honey and vaguely grainy notes; moderately sweet malty and restrained bitter finish. No highlight. 05.IX.16

The great ChrisO pre GBBF gathering. Light haze on this gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Sweetish malts, mild paper and a trace of cream. Light and tangy dried fruits. Light finish. Instantly forgettable.
