Bottle shared. Hazy reddish golden. Smells very funky and like peach. Aroma is peach, soft grains, dry apple, rosé wine, funky, woody. Lighter sweet and sour, light bitter. Medium bodied, quite dry. Interesting stuff!

Cider enriched with an Austrian type of peaches (traditionally grown in vineyards) that have apparently been used in a Mikkeller Baghaven sour before - I cannot even begin to imagine how these peaches made it from one barrel to the other, to be honest... Anyway, sampled at Billie's Craft Beer Fest, thanks Ster for the recommendation! Large-bubbled, very loose off-white foam, quickly gone over a vermillion-tinged foxy red robe. Aroma of obviously fermenting red apples, clear peach too, peach wine, redcurrant jam, rosé wine, strawberry somewhere. Gently sour with sweet fructose core, evidently very apple-forward fruit juice flavour, vinous, with a grapey quality to it as well which I assume has something to do with those vineyard peaches; vinous finish, remaining very fruit-juicy too, with some mildly warming alcohol. I still have no idea how to judge ciders as they usually do not interest me - but this was admittedly something different, even if it still tasted mostly like the fermented sweet red apple juice that it basically is; went down very easily, in any case.

Sample thanks to minutemat, cheers Mat! Red colour, bubbly white foam head and aroma of peach, apricot, fruit salad, apple, berries. Taste is sourish, fruity, vanilla, with notes of peach, berries, apple, also abit of cardboardy oxidation evident. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tart finish. Quite drinkable, shame about the oxidised notes.

75cl bottle Sophie's Beer Store. Pours a vibrant red, unclear. Aroma of wild yeast, natural apple cider, soft red berry fruit. Nice and crisp on the palate with a good red peach definition, moderately sweet with a good interplay between tannic grip and bristling wild elements. Nice tart fruit. Quite enjoyable.
