Dark, smooth, delicious. Aromas of worn leather and cool autumn nights. Notes of sweet plum and toasted raisin, hints of coffee and cacao. Lingering tart and refreshing finish. Only available for a few short months. Not to be missed!

A reddish brown ale with a thick collapsing lacing moka head. In aroma, a nice gueuzy lactic points, horseblanket, leathery character. In mouth, a smooth lactic malt with notes of sour cherries, roasted nuts, lactic and oily, quite nice. Bieropholie import. Batch 426.

750ml bottle split with Ann at Monks, SD. Deep opaque brown-black. Massive steady white/beige head. Deliciously soft and mellow. Creamy, fluffy chocolate tones, with some underlying tartness. Highly unique, truly an awesome World Class Black Ale. Light cocoa and coffee notes under the lactic sourness. Phenomenal.

750 mL bottle from the Libation Station in Johnson City, TN. Batch 426... I must have had this quite a while... at least since March 2010, maybe since a year before that. Pours nearly pitch black with a large rocky, frothy offwhite head that lasts forever and leaves sheets of lacing. Tart aroma with citrus notes, yeast, caramel, berries and dark malty notes. The taste is tart citrus yeast, faint nutty and malty notes. Smooth, medium bodied with soft carbonation. Good beer.

Almost colabrown beer with medium and beige head. Aroma is interesting and complex, sweetness, berries, some fermented berries and fruits and also sourness. Flavour is slightly weird, sour, some roastiness, fermented fruits and some spicyness. With yeast aroma is more fruitable and the flavour is more balanced. Quite easy to drink, but sourness and high carbonation slows a drinkability. Weird, sour beer with nice and interesting nuancees, but still quality and price doesn’t meet.
