For the first time ever, we’re digging into the Proprietor’s (Chicago-only release) vault and bringing back a fan favorite with Bourbon County Fourteen Stout. But this time, it’s with a twist. We’re paying homage to the popular Proprietor’s 2014 recipe, but upping the rye ante by adding rye to the mash bill. Layering cassia bark, cocoa nibs, panela sugar, and coconut water, this stout has an intricate, sweet and spicy flavor profile that will have fans going back sip after sip.

Sweet, thick, boozy. Cassia and coconut, coffee, cocoa powder, bourbon. Not a big fan of cassia, a smaller amount would do for me or skip it altogether. Pretty good still.

Fat på Brewskival 2023. Svart med beige krona. Rostat, mycket fat, Bourbon, chokladigt men allra främst kanel i mängder. Väldigt kanel-forward.

Bottle. A- Chocolate, cinnamon, coconut, rye. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Cinnamon, toasted coconut, fudge, rye whiskey. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- Was really curious if the coconut water would add enough flavor while also not making it feel watered down. It worked. Just really nice stuff here. Always wanted to try proprietor's and this is definitely hitting that spot. This one will sneak up on ya.

Bottle drunk 12/21/22. Burnt mahogany, tan head to ring. Cherry, almond liqueur, light coconut. Spicy! No booze. Lots of bark and Cinnamon-like character with vanilla and light sugar. That's barky, earthy. Barky, earthy, astringent, but with a pleasing syrupiness. Pretty barky and spicy, astringent. Textures great but too much acidity and astringency.
