In 2021 we welcome Helles as a full-time addition to our core range. Gentle and balanced, Helles exemplifies everything we aim to achieve as lager brewers. Rolling hills, open fields and happy times with friends - a reminder there are good things ahead.
Helles uses the same pilsner malt blend as Keller Pils, and gently hopped with Magnum, Perle and Tettnang.

Goulden pour, very little haze. Aromas of hops, malts, white bread, hints of cirtus. Tastes of malt, bread, citrus fruit again. Quite nice

440ml can from Waitrose. Slightly hazy and yellow in colour, with a moderately-sized, white, head. Stone fruits, light lager malts, plenty of bitterness in the finish. Fine.

Can from BD Inverurie. It pours lightly hazy yellow - gold with a fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, clean, soft, sweet, doughy bread, cracker, biscuit, grass, light herbal accents and sponge cake. The taste is crisp, firmly dry initially, then we get sweet doughy white bread, sponge cake, brioche, cracker, straw, some spice, grass and lemon pith with a dry, crackery finish. Medium body and moderate, massaging carbonation. Rounded and very quaffable. A classy example of the style

Can at home, from CW online, 20/07/21. Pale golden blonde with a good sized lasting white cap ... a real looker of a bier. Nose is pale malts, grass, lemon rind, light herbal whisper, grains. Taste comprises pale malts, bread dough, light citric tickle, toasted grains, cereals, light herb. Medium bodied, fine massaging carbonation, semi drying close. Solid crushable logger bier ... really looks and feels the bollocks!
