We take a classic German malt profile and pair it with Hallertau Mittelfruh and Perle hops for a clean, bready and crisp Lagerbier.
Perfect when paired with food and even better when shared with good company.

Keg at Greystones Pub, Greystones - Clear gold body, small white head. Nose is grassy hops, bit of very sweet citrus in there. Nice fruit forward taste, sharp hoppy bitter finish. Good hot day beer.

440ml can from Bitter Virtue, a little annoyed to find it has a BBD of 28th March 2022. I bought it (full price) on 11th June 2022. Didn't notice until I was unpacking the suitcases on 26th June once home. Anyway I am drinking it now, 30th June 2022. Poured a misty old gold colour with no head. It hasn't aged well, slight cobweb feel to the semi-fizzy carbonisation, it's neither malty nor hoppy, or much of anything much. Sorry, not impressed. I had to open a packet of Quavers to help me finish the can.

26/11/2021. Keg at the Double-Barrelled Tap Takeover at The Ale House, Chelmsford. Pours almost clear dark gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, grass, tropical notes. Moderate sweetness, bitterness and body. Slight oily texture, average carbonation. Clean, crisp lager. Good.

Keg, 1/3 pint shared with Finn, drink-in at Beerfly. Pearl white head resting over a near-clear golden body, dotted spots on the glass. Moderate smell of herbal hops and grain. Mixed taste of herbal, noble hops, joined by citric notes and grainy malts. Smooth ending, malt-fruity. Okay, easy going. (Bedford 18.11.2021).

Delt med Rune. Lys gylden. Nesten klar. Filmskum. Forsiktig aroma av malt & fersken. Smaken søte bær. Litt vanilje i avslutninga.

440ml can - Pours with a light haze, golden in colour with a small fine white head. Aroma is yeasty, doughy malts, hay and citrusy hops. A sweetish, bready malty taste, some straw and grassy flavours with a hoppy finish. Clean and crisp and very nice lager.

440ml can online from Elusive Brewery. Pours clear yellow golden with the tiniest hint of haze, white cap. Aroma is yeasty, hay, grass, light citrus. Taste: moderate sweet & light bitter, clean, bread dough, hay, grass, herbal. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Much sweeter than I would have imagined.

Can from Elusive. I have a friend who suggested that Budweiser barely counting as a real beer was probably why he liked it so much. However he then got this beer from his local brewery and declared it the best lager he'd ever had. OK, that versus Bud, etc, but it's a start. Aroma is yeasty - saccharine and dough - with a citrus edge. Amber gold. A hint of a haze. Foamy bubbly white head. Overwhelmingly sweet is my initial take. Mirrors the aroma - saccharine sweetness with underlying doughyness. However a bitter streak does materialise. Some citrus sourness on the periphery. Light-medium bodied. Thin if slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Dry finish. It's OK. But it's a sweet lagwr and just doesn't do it for me. Have a few with a curry and the get really bloated but it's craft so can happily do that and not have macro near beer.
