Handpull cask at the Ale Wagon, Leicester. Brownish gold and clear with a small muddled off-white head. Scent of seawater, salted caramel, TCP. Taste is astringent and sweet/salty. Long medicinal finish. Thick oily flat body. This is traditional to the fucking core, a good beer in ways but hard to get through the entire pint.

18/6/2022. Cask at the 30th East Anglian Beer & Cider Festival, Bury St Edmunds. Thanks to SHIG. Pours clear pale golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma is mucky, old citrus fruits, swampy, straw. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with a tart edge. Moderate body, slightly oily, average to soft carbonation. Tasted better than it smelt.

Half-pint, cask at The Lord Harrowby. Patchy head, clear golden body, faint lacing. Restrained aromas of canned fruit. Peachy flavours, mild malty sweetness beneath. Clean fruity bitter finish. Quite refreshing and okay. (Grantham 13.11.2021).
