A good straightforward dark Belgian ale that's a little on the strong side but nothing especially good.

330ml bottle - Pours a mahogany brown colour with a good sized foamy beige head that settled. The aroma is fruity, prunes, caramel, fruit cake and a little yeasty spice. A sweetish fruity taste, dark fruit, caramel, orange peel, spice and dark sweet malt flavours with a warming alcohol finish.

Bottle at BBT 6/2022. Med-full body, med-high carbonation. Lots of character, really complex, quite well balanced too. Candyish, caramelly, dried fruits, raisins, plums. Hint of chocolate, honey, marshmallows. Med-light alcohol warmth, definitely noticeable, but pleasantly rounding. Very good.
