(Keg at St Urho's Pub, 20231230) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and lightly tan coloured. Aroma had malts, molasses and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, grass, toasted notes and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A tasty and balanced malty brew.

Bottle from Erzengel as part of Euro local swap, thanks. Malty aroma and taste, caramel, light roasty notes, light sweet, medium bitter. Medium body, malty bitter sweet finish. Ok.

Bottle picked up from Biervana, München and consumed at home, Sunday 31st May 2020 listening to Warmduscher - This Tainted Lunch and getting ready to cook a Squid, Chorizo and Chickpea Stew in the wood oven. Pours clear chestnut brown with a cappuccino coloured head. Toffee, caramel and malts dominant here. Lovely sweetness, nice mouthfeel, it's a good beer.

Krieger Floriani Bock, Flasche aus Mixpaket vom Biershop Bayern. - Tiefes Kupferrotbraun, klar. - In der Nase schweres dunkles Malz, tiefe Toastaromen, Karamel, Trockenobst und dezente herbale Hopfung. - Antrunk vollmundig und mächtig dunkelmalzig mit Röstbrot, Honig, Trockenpflaume und schön sirupartiger, nicht zu starker Süße. Beträchtliche aber gut eingebundene Hopfenherbe mit mediterranen Kräutern. Milder rezent, vollmundig; gut kaschierter Alkohol. Im Abgang solide Hopfenherbe mit feinen zitrusfruchtigen Spitzen. - Sehr schöner Doppelbock mit solidem Malzkörper und aromatischer Hopfung, charakterstark und doch rund. (5.5.2020.)

50cl bottle. Pours clear orange brown colour with a mid-sized most good lasting off-white head. aroma of sweet dark malt, strong malt, caramel. Taste of sweet dark strong malt, caramel, some chocolate, good one!

Bottled, from Biershop Bayern. Clear mahogany colour, small head. Bready nose with some raisins. Mid sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Bread, grass and raisins. Mildly warming finish.

Dark amber color with small tan head that goes down quickly. Aroma is a sweet caramel maltiness, also bread and plums. A bit almondy maybe. Taste is sweet and rich plums, caramel in the back, some toffee, very characterful. Also tangy and a bit minerally. Quite a high carbonation and not chewy enough. The mouthfeel does not fit this beer, but the rest is memorable.

Bottle, vielen dank Günther! Bright Chestnut-red colour, low off-white head. Rich treacle and plum aroma. Full-bodied, sweet, preserved fruit notes, caramel, light roast, a hint licorice, good broad hop finish to cut through the sweetness. Fullflavored and moreish, doesn’t have to hide from Andechser Bergbock!
