660ml bottle at a share. Pours pitch black with a tan head. Aroma: roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, vanilla. Taste: moderate to heavt sweet & moderate bitter, rich, roast malts, chocolate, nutty, earthy, liquorice. Full body, creamy texture with soft carbonation.

Das ist jetzt mal ein richtiges Imperial Stout mit allem was man sich erwartet: tiefschwarze Farbe, ölige Textur, karamellige Süße, ordentlicher Alkohol und allerlei einfach geile Aromen. So kommt Kaffee, Kakao, schwarze Schokolade und allerlei weitere Röstaromen, die ich nicht so klar einordnen kann. Das ganze in einem tiefen, überschweren Körper, in dem man sich verliert. SIcher kein einfaches Bier für nebenbei oder zum Essen, aber als Ausklang für eine schwere Woche auf jeden Fall mehr als passend. In dieser Kategorie selten ein besseres Bier gehabt.

14-01-21 // 330ml bottle. Darkest brown to black. Brown head. Rich dark malts, bitter chocolate and hints of liquorice in the nose. Taste is silky rich dark malty. Roasted chocolate sweetness, low coffee. This is very well done.Took me way too long to try

Bottle, 0.66l, shared with Patrick. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and vanilla. Pours pitch black color with thin creamy light brown head and nice lacing. Taste starts with sweet and rich roasted malt and chocolate, following is nutty and earthy with licorice note, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is mild bitter. Full body, creamy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Dangerously drinkable nocturnal beast...

25.02.2020 - 0.33l bottle at home. pours pitch black with a steady beige head and a nice lacing. aroma of molasses, fine roasty notes. flavour of roast, vanilla, citrus. slightly sour, bittersweet, full body. alcohol is well hidden.

Bottle thanks to Rasmusott. Pours pitch black with a medium brown head. Aromas of smoke, malt, chocolate, "german" notes, whatever the fuck that means. Ya’ll know. Roast. Taste is smoky, coffee, chocolate, licorice, dry, dark fruits.

Bottle from the brewery. Engine oil black with a big brown head that vanishes like a day trader's account balance when Trump slams China. Woody, nutty, coffee nose. Flavor is sweet & lightly acidic soy, chocolate malt, smooth medium hop bitterness balancing the sugar of this 10% powerhouse. Nice, and pretty drinkable for a beer that strong!
