(Bottle, 0.33 l - no 12794 - bottled on 23.08.2021, thanks VastActiv, at VastActiv, 20230105) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had coffee, burnt malts, dark chocolate and soy sauce. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, coffee, ash, soy sauce, alcohols and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, boozy and bitter. A rather tasty burnt brew with strong coffee notes.

Bottle shared at annual end of the year Fryslân tasting. Opaque black color, light brown colored head. Aroma and flavor are malts, sugary, dark malts a bit, malt bitterness, bitterness. Full body and medium carbonation. Bottle. Black body under a small tan head. I believe most beer interesting peoples know well what the Dark Horizon series is about by now. Strong, bald, coffee flavored Imperial stout. Its sweet and slightly boozy with lots of dark malt and nice bitterness. The 7 edition is fine, tasty and well made as expected, still I believe this is the weakest version from this series. I prefer the ‘’back to the roots’’ direction compared with the almost pastry stout number 6 edition, still the coffee flavor feels to dominating this time. By all means, it’s a great imperial stout that can stand comparison with the best, but the expectation will always be very high every time a new DH is released. The barrel version is a totally different story here, but this rating is about the regular version and I think all the previous ones is a bit better than this one.

33 cl bottle @ Hatanpää tasting room. Bottle #01435/15500. Batch #2366, bottled 23.08.2021, BBE 02.07.2031 Aroma has licorice, menthol, alcohol and mild coffee. Flavour has licorice, some strong malty bitterness, coffee and alcohol. Finishes with growing saltiness and herbs. Rubbery tones occur at the end of the glass. Also mild peaty vibes. Quite close to what DH2 once was.

Bottle, 16%. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, dark chocolate and liquorice. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, liquorice, dark chocolate, sweet, warming, soy, alcohol and a little bitter.

Aus der Flasche (Bottle No.05084/15500 - bottled 23.09.2021 - bbe 02.07.2031) im 2022-10 getrunken. Dieses Coffee Stout hat leider kaum Kaffee Aromen sondern eher dunkle Schokolade. Der hohe Alkoholgehalt ist sehr gut eingebunden. Dazu kommt das eine unschöne grüne Paprika Note zu entdecken war. Sonst ein ordentliches Bier aber kein besonderes. Hier stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis überhaupt nicht. Enttäuschend!

Bottled 330ml. -at Ambasada Zagreb, shared with hrabren. Pitch black coloured, medium sized brown head, roasted malt and alcohol in the nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, notes of dried fruits and light coffee with dominant alcohol. Too much on the alco side in the finish.

0.33 l bottle shared with Ogi and Vran at Ambasada. Zagreb. Tartish dried fruit, alcohol, brandy. Some coffee. Toasty. Figs. Warming. Roasty flavour, toffee, tart red fruit, cherry, cocoa, coffee. Smooth, alcohol quite hidden, nice soft finish.
