330 ml ordinary capped bottle in an oversized metal cylinder with a wooden lid - apparently you pay for more than the beer here. Batch #2466, bottle #11090 out of 15500. ABV is 16%, IBU 100. Purchased at Vinmonopolet Herbarium. Pitch black colour, moderate to small tan head. Strong aroma of coffee, molasses, brown sugars and dark malts. Rich and warming mouthfeel. Very sweet flavour, to some degree balanced by distinct bittering hops, and otherwise the same elements as the aroma. Also hints of chocolate and liquorice.

Almost no head Powerful and fine aroma Very balanced sweetness for a beer at this level Oily texture and an almost flat carbonation level Dark malt, vinous, coffee, mild roast and some chocolate in the flavor Fine complexity [Bottle from Vinmonopolet Amfi Borg in Sarpsborg, Norway]

330ml bottle in a dark blue box, no. 10797 of 15500 bottles, #2466. Bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes and shared with Finn. Slowly diminishing fawn-coloured head to a coal black body, scattered lacing on the glass. Inviting aromas of liquorice, nuts, and black chocolate malts. Well blended taste profile, impacts of prunes, biscuit, liquorice, and chocolate. Some hints of coffee to a smoothly roasted, chocolate malty finish, warming down the swallow. Full bodied. Good drinking, maybe a bit unmatured. (Tromsø 29.01.2022).

8-4-7-4-15 Bottle, #2366, bottle 13440/15500, 4,5 months after bottling. Pours pitch black, with a rocky mocha head. Aroma is dark malts with coffee, muscovado and sweet licorice, as well as dark chocolate, tobacco and tannins. Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is dark malts with charcoal, liquorice, coffee and cocoa, as well as muscovado, leather and wooden notes. Lingering malty finish, with dry coffee notes. It tastes of it's ingredients, which is great. Yet no new or higher level is created from the flavour combinations, which is kind of disappointing in a beer like this. Still a good beer though.

Bourbon and dry wood on the nose. Thin, boozy, sweet, roasty, a touch of tart dark berries. Roasty coffee, chocolate, turns dry and has some licorice in the finish. Nice.

Bottled 330ml (Vinmonopolet, AIH147) Opaque colour, small steady brownish head. Coffee, alcohol, roastyness in the nose. Full-bodied. Coffee, roasted malts, dark chocolate and lots of alcohol. Elegant impy but as fresh way too boozy.
