Bottle thanks to Stuu666. Appearance - opaque black, crude oil like in texture. Tan, crema head. Nose - wood, blackcurrant, tar and burnt wood. Dark chocolate an an underlying smoky chilli thing. Taste - dark chocolate, smoky chilli and burnt wood. Palate - full bodied, rich texture, light smoky/spicy finish. Overall - not sure where the chilli thing came from but it's there.

Bottle thanks to Stuu666. Pours like crude oil, black with a thin tan head. Aromas of coffee, leather, liquorice, burnt blackcurrant. Taste is more of the same. Rich and luxuriant. Smoked chilli, charcoal.

Bottle 330ml @ home
Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, licorice and alcohol. Taste is heavy sweet and medium to heavy bitter with a long warm, roasted, coffee, dried fruity, bitter, chocolate, licorice and brown sugar finish. Body is full, texture is sticky, carbonation is soft to flat. I hope it becomes a bit more mellow with aging.

Pours black, small tanned ring of foam. Scent is full, roasty, bitter chocolate. Taste is full, roasty, bitter. Not as silky and smooth as others in the series. Ashy, burnt, dark and intense chocolate. Hides the booze well.

Bottle. A small dark tan head forms over a black body. The aroma is quite alcoholic, but in a pretty nice way, with coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malts and some dark dried fruit. Oats and some cocoa and a very light spiced touch. It's full bodied, coffee-ish dry and nicely carbonated and with a pleasant bitterness. It's sweet in the flavor, with lots of coffee, some dark chocolate and a good dash of roasted malts, oat biscuits and cocoa, hints of prunes and quite a lot of alcohol. Lasting sweet finish with roasted malts and coffee. Nice indeed, still a bit fresh it seems. 211123

Dry for the size. Sharp, clean. Needs to be warm. Then it opens up and becomes a boozy rich to the point beer. Billies Bf antwerp
