Export Dunkel

Klosterbrauerei Andechs in Andechs, Bavaria, Germany 🇩🇪

Lager - Dunkel / Tmavý Regular
Score
6.81
ABV: 4.9% IBU: - Ticks: 124
Characterised by its firm and fine pored head. Even before the first sip, the beer epicure will register the soft aromas of dark malt carrying caramel and cocoa accents with a nuance of smokiness.

Andechser Export Dunkel is pleasantly tangy with a full, round, malty body. The nuance of quality plain chocolate marries well with the soft bitterness of the smoky undertone.

It concludes on a mild, harmonious note (12.5% original extract and 4.9% alcohol by volume).

Bottle. Clear red brown with an inch of pale beige head. Malty and spicy aroma with slight dried fruit and chocolate notes. A little sweet with dark sugars and dried fruit before decisive spiced bitterness at the end. No real depth but like the finish.

Dark brown with a frothy tan head and dried fruit on the nose. Sweet and fruity, raisins and caramel with a hint of sherry? On the thin side, some hop bitterness trying to come through but the sweetness powers through it into a dry finish

Mycket gott

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - deep copper to brown. Creamy, off white head. Nose - toffee, malt loaf, raisin and prune. Taste - more prune, raisin and malt loaf. Palate - creamy in texture, medium bodied. Only light dryness on the finish. Overall - this is the most interesting and best Dunkel style I've ever had.
