Once upon a time...
there was a King who really loved beer. To celebrate his greatness, he decided to brew a beer all the residents of his kingdom could drink in his honor. He happened to know a brewers couple, Fox and his feline accomplice, Cat, who brewed great beers in their foxhole, deep in the forest. When he asked them, they were glad to help him out. And his will be done: Fox and Cat started brewing with help of the King. The result is this full bodied, old school stout brewed with beetroot.
The earthy aroma and flavor of the beetroot pairs surprisingly well with the roastiness of the dark malts.

Few dark brown bubbles on viscous brown-black beer. Ashy, sulphur compound as from kale, vanilla stout, roast, and indeed, beetroot, chewing gum. Earthy, and there's iron here - lending it indeed a bloody streak. Roast, again something sulphury. Warming up, the beetroot becomes obvious. Viscous, oily, chewy, heavy; alcoholwarmth. Yes, awesome beer; this is what Fox does best.

Bottle. Color: Pitch black, thin brown head. Aroma: Earthy, roasted malt, coffee. Taste: Very dense, very smooth, bit oily mouthfeel. Earthy, subtle spicy, dark roasted malt. Floral beetroot. Notes of coffee, boozy hints. Full body, low carbonation. Very nice.

18/XI/22 - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte), shared @ home, BB: 8/X/22, 08102211, batch: RB001 (2022-1635)
SLOW GUSHER!
Clear black beer, aery irregular brown to greyish head, unstable, falls down quickly. Aroma: nothing, very weird, this smells like nothing. I almost thought I had Corona, and it made me open another beer just to be sure. :-p On warming it up a bit with my hands, I get a soft roasted smell and a bit of a sourish impression, but not much. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body, creamy texture. Taste: nice roast, bitter, coffee notes, earthy, a bit sourish, chocolate. Aftertaste: a bit sourish, bitter, dark roast, cocoa powder, more bitterness in the finish.
