Pours almost completely clear brown color, topped with a nice tane colored head. Strong smoked aroma really hits your nose. The taste follows the aroma. Mostly smokey taste, a bit of bitterness. A bit too strong on the smoke side to be really enjoyable.

Hű fegyverhordozója lehetne a serlenkának. Nem annyira zsírosan szétfolyós, így ihatóbb is.

Bottle. Aroma beautiful smoked ham and slanina. Deep brown colour. Taste is bacon all the way. Hops is in undisturbing ammount. Rather sweet one. Very good.

Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell, London during the Birthday Celebration of Jack & Leighton - big thanks to Paul! Pours clearish amber with a fine, creamy cap. Good smoke in the nose, some hints of tangy fruits. Medium sweet flavor with moderate smoke, faint ham, definitely some off sour notes; I think this is a touch infected. Light bodied with average carbonation. Tangy finish, slightly earthy, with some berries, light ham. Yeah, a bit infected, unfortunately. Still some redeeming qualities, but this is not as intended.

Bottle thanks to Paul shared at Jack and Leightons birthday pleasantries, 13/04/13. Hazed dark amber/orange with a thin beige head that clears to the edge. Nose is smoke forward, background cereals and corn, light toffee. Taste comprises tangy citrus notes, smoked wood, burnt caramel, sour fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, smokey finish. Decent enough fayre.

Bottle from 7Stern, shared at Leighton & Jack’s birthday celebrations. It pours hazy deep amber with a small beige head. The nose is big smokey goodness, smoked ham and bacon frazzles. The taste is tangy, smoke, bacon, sweet-sour aspect, sausage with HP sauce and asian cooking with a short finish. Unfortunately a bit past it, can’t imagine the tang is meant to be there. However still not bad.

At a tasting, bought at the brewpub, creamy off white and long lasting head, murky light brown with yellowish taints, aroma of smoke, charred wood and bacon, flavour of wood, grassiness and charred wood, mellow bitterness and quite sour. Balanced with the smokiness quite present but not overpowering.

Bottle shared at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks tomer. Brown-colored with a beige head. Pleasant smoked sausages aroma with a bit of woody notes, a bit of caramel and fraint sour notes. Sweetish flavor with malt, caramel, light sourish notes and nice meaty smokiness. Medium-bodied. A nice Rauchbier.

My Rating 10500. Tap @ Brewpub, Vienna. Day 1 RBESG 2012. Pours cloudy amber with a small creamy head and lacings. Lots of campfire, raw salami and some phenolic notes as well as caramel. Smooth and medium bodied.
