Opaque dark brown colour, almost no foam which disappears quickly, no lacing. Aroma roasted malts, liquorice, dark fruits syrup, alcohol. Taste heavy sweet and light sourish notes, malty, fruity (black currants, sweet cherries, plum), syrupy. Aftertaste as in taste, full-bodied, sticky texture, flat carbonation. Strange brew, alcohol well-hidden, decent but too one-dimensional.

Semmi hab, majdnem fekete szín. Karamelles, malátás, enyhén konyakos illat. Édes, karamelles, enyhén fűszeres és konyakos ízvilág. Testes, enyhén szénsavas, közepesen keserű. Túl édes, de az alkoholt jól elrejtették. Nem rossz, de nem is kiemelkedő sör.

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 13.01.17. Brown. Small pale brown head. Aroma of dark caramel, chocolate, old jam and sweathy gym socks. Taste of caramel, sweet sherry , fermented strawberries and old jam.

Flaske delt med Ovesen etter tapping av vår EKG Single Hop: brunsvart, nesten uten skum (selv om det var futt i åpningen). Ubehagelig førsteinntrykk av aromaen (ristede nøtter og uluftet gymbag), men som etter en stund på magisk vis transformeres til overmodne solbær og bjørnebær. Smaken blir også preget av mørke bær og syltetøy. Interessant.

0.33l swing top bottle. Orangish dark brown body no head at all. Aroma of chocolate, banana, cloves and lots of peppery booze. Taste of toast, cherry, caramel and lots of booze. The alcohol is way too obvious in this for me.

Aroma has sweet and heavy-ish banana tones. Also some caramel. Flavour starts with banana but turns soon into very odd bush leave tones (old hops?) and finishes with ashy & tobacco tones. Totally unexpected flavour by the aroma and even without it. Not sure what to think about this; drinkability is not high and the bush leaves disturb me – but still I find this somewhat interesting.
Oh yes, gotta agree with oh6gdx on this. The acidicness of white wine is clearly present in the flavour bouquet among all the smoky and ashy notes.

Heavy cloves, molasses, dark fruit and wheaty nose. Very low carbonation, very sweet, slightly cloying. Heavy. Ok. Alcohol well hidden. Aged four years and not bad.

Age-old clay bottle, aged. . Milky yellow. Veggie, berry, apple,sulfur. Apple flavor, light citrus, minerals, raspberry - plenty of fruit salad, not harmonic though. Medium light, quite sticky, booze, not pleasant.
