BOURBON BARREL AGED IMPERIAL WINTER ALE WITH CINNAMON AND COCONUT
This year’s release of B-Bomb is aged in 8–12-year-old American Oak bourbon barrels and is a blend of 9, 12, and 24-month old barrel-aged Winter Ale. This special edition adds cinnamon and toasted coconut to complement the oak, cacao, leather, toffee, and dark coffee notes achieved from its extended barrel aging and barrel blending. Each barrel contributes a different note, and combining each barrel to create a coherent tone is a distinct art and true pleasure. Please do enjoy this unique barrel-aged ale today but know that Cinnamon Coconut B-Bomb will age gracefully for years to come. Don’t Be Afraid To Be Abominable.
Down & Dirty: 2-Row Pale, Crystal-120, Munich, Roast Barley, Carafa-2, and Chocolate malts with Columbus, Willamette, and US Goldings hops with cinnamon and coconut.
ABV: 13.0% IBU: 50
Color: Dark black, opaque
Aroma: Coconut and cinnamon up front, followed with sweet aromatics of molasses, vanilla, chocolate and brown sugar. Whiskey, oak and graham cracker are present in the background
Flavor: Highly sweet, with slight bitterness and lingering sweetness. Full body with smooth carbonation, a definite alcohol warmth, slight spice and mouthwatering.
Availability: Released January 2021, limited.
Fresh Range: Age this beer, or try one now...go on.

22oz (thx, Drew P.!) @ Farees'. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: cinnamon, dark fruits, sweetness. But where is coconut? Taste: along the same lines, cinnamon dominates, but also quite a lot of coconut and chocolate. Thicker than KDS CCV. Overall: good.

Dark. Not much head. Lots of chocolate, cinnamon up front on the nose, and a bit of coconut accent. On the palate, nice thick body, lots of coconut, and cinnamon. Strong dessert vibe. Good coconut cream in the finish. This is nice and rich, love it.

--Bottled, at Bearbeer tasting. -- Black, rich brown head. Huge aroma of cinnamon, coconut and chocolate. Soft chocolate, mild oak, of course too much coconut. At least not too cakey. Warming finish. Surprisingly harmonious and even complex, despite the flavouring.

22oz bottle pours out thick black topped with a tan head. Nose is great big coconut chocolate bourbon barrel notes cinnamon and some heat. Taste is more of the nice sweet chocolate vanilla coconut wow and a good amount of cinnamon not over loaded.

Bottle. Pours clear deep deep mahogany, medium tan head, good lacing. Aroma is beat you over the head cinnamon and toasted coconut, vanilla, toffee, bourbon. Flavor is pretty sweet, medium bitter, overwhelming cinnamon and strong coconut. Full body. I think they went a bit too far on this one. At the very least about half the cinnamon would help.
