BOTTLE 33 CL from Bov. BB aug-2015. Starts expectedly hoppy - not out of this world, but still - sweet fruit, grassy, lemon rind. But after a few minutes everything turns upside down... the fruit go away, leaving room for glue and sharp fusel alcohol. Tastes as bad as it smells - dry and very astringent, harsh phenolic bitterness. Like a homebrew gone wrong.

Bottle, at Baran. It’s an unclear, reddish beer with a dense, finger-thick off-white head. The aroma has a faint cellar hint, caramel malts and some grains. Resiny, citrusy hops. There’s a fine bitterness in the mouth, with pale malts, karamel, resins and citrus. Medium to full body, semi-dry and nicely carbonated, with a pleasant caramel finish and bitter finish. A bit malty this one, but fine anyway. 140906

Vitalininnholdet ligger veloppdragent i bakgrunnen.

10/V/14 - 33cl bottle from a trade @ home - BB: IV/2014 (2014-497) Thanks to Bartlebier for the trade!
Cloudy rusty red brown beer, aery beige to yellow head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very hoppy, piny and resinous notes, bit aged though, strawberry jam, bit dusty, caramel, sugary. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: citrus, bitter hops, syrupy, bit piny, caramel, exotic fruits, some strawberry jam, blueberries, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: bitter hops, fruity, forest fruit and red fruit jam. Would categorize this as a US barley wine, but what's the difference really? Also, it seems as if my bottle was probably a bit old...

Bottle, 9%. Good, malty aroma, rather peppery, but in a good way. Cloudy dark amber colour. Good stable tan head. The flavour starts off nicely bitter, turns malty in a caramelly way. Some alcohol bitterness along with a clean hop bitterness. Warming alcohol. Good, also for the style.

Bottle from Embrouille - thank you so much! Pours slightly hazy amber with airy off-white head. Clear, sweetish aroma of malt and hops with notes of alcohol. Sweetish, malty onset, quickly giving way to bitter, hoppy body with a lingering aftertaste. Warming alcohol presence, though hard to distinguish from the hoppy bitterness. Decent.
