Dark brown. Thick head. Poured into one of my many Temporal glasses. Lots of nutty coffee up front on the nose, with some fruitiness. That burnt fruit becomes much more pronounced on the palate, which I appreciate. Deep fruitcake stuff, blending with a big alcoholic punch in the finish. Not sure how strong the coffee was when fresh but it certainly seems integrated now.

Can, courtesy of the wonderful Alex (fiulijn) through the legendary pictoman. Very dark brown body, off-white head. Mix of pleasant raisins and chocolate in the aroma, lean. Lean, dry taste, coffee notes, raisin, pleasant malty interplay. Bitter, roasty finish, after a roasty, taste with a mouthfeel that appears to be almost juicy. Despite the slightly excessive bitterness, it feels somehow fresh, with raisins dominating among the malty notes, chocolate pudding is another good catch as well. Still, an excellent beer.

Poured from 473mL can (thanks for grabbing it Fiulijn). Black with tan head. Dry chocolate and roast malt. Nice to have a solid straight up imperial stout without adjuncts.

16oz (thx, Alex!)@ home. Appearance: almost black with a beige head. Aroma: roasted malts, fruity, inky. Taste: along the same lines, a bit ashy, moderately sweet, moderate body. Finishes with hoppy and roasted malt bitterness. Overall: pretty good one, but I believe it does lack body a bit.

Deep dark brown body and minimal foam. It's hard to get the aroma right with all the drunk women in Christmas hats eating popcorn beside me but I'll try - Sweet molasses on the nose with hints of cocoa. Taste is wet cocoa, slight molasses, ending way too wet. Popcorn and spinsters in Christmas hats beside me notwithstanding, this is well brewed but far too simple.

472 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with full tan head. Aromas of sweet chocolate, creamy coffee and slick roasted malts. Flavors of creamy chocolate, sweet vanilla, and oily roasted malts. Bitter chocolate finish with a bit of lactose. Very nice

Dark sugars galore, with a touch of coffee, wood and vanilla. I'm surprised it's been only 2 years; anyway, even with a few moons under the belt, this is still excellent.

Pitch black colour, large and compact brown head. Aroma of roasted malts and dark chocolate, mild but elegant. It's smooth, full bodied, moderately sweet, harmony of roasted malts and dark chocolate, with a pinch of ashes in the finish, and warming liquor.
I have to take my pastry imperial stout glasses, and appreciate this perfectly balanced straight Imperial Stout, excellent.

On tap at 33A, pours black with a small brown head. Nose is rich and roasty, with a deep roasted malt character, dry coffee, and hearty oats. Flavour is rich and complex, bringing out a deep roasted malt character upfront, followed by molasses, some coffee, and a touch of cocoa nibs. There's certainly sweetness there, which is well-situated; it balances with the deep roast very well. This reminds of their Black Is Beautiful release last year. Rich and roasty. Excellent.
