Hazy amber/orange with little white head. Aroma of banan and clove, some yeasts. Taste is very citrussy sour, some sweetness later. Slight soap as well. Not bad considering the low alcohol.

Tap at Ayinger Bräustüberl. A cloudy and amberish Weizen, but clearly the yeast wasn’t allowed to work on the malts. Still rather sweet with little banana and clover, and those last two I might just be my wishful thinking. Bready for sure, with a lovely carbonation. Works, but there are better low alcohol Weizen.

(bottle) Cloudy, golden colour with a big and slightly off-white foamy head. Wheaty and mildly grainy malty aroma with notes of banana and a whiff of vanilla and phenolic spices. Slightly sweet and delicately sour flavour, light bodied with an almost creamy carbonation. Soft malty base with present wheaty notes, banana, also mildly hoppy accents, especially towards the sweet and slightly sour finish. Well-made lighter Weizen. 02.II.16

At Ayingers am Platzl. Hazy orange color with white head. Yeasty, spicy, bananas. Solid complexity for a Leichte Weisse and not watered down. Very refreshing and light still. A great Leichte Weisse.

8.8°P. 50 cl bottle in Aying. Cloudy orange color, enormous expansive owwhite head, lots of sediment, minimal lacing. Aroma of weizen malts, apple, yeast with some lemon. Taste is flat. Carbonated, light body, dry finish. It’s a pity this one cannot match the regular brauweisse but i think in the low-alcohol range it deserves a good place.
