We honor our Pops with this beer. His vision built the Leisure Time ice brand decades ago and inspired us to build Jack’s Abby as a family business. Leisure Time Lager is brewed with wheat and a blend of spices including lemongrass, coriander, orange peel and chamomile. A subtle spiciness balances the citrusy and floral hops added to the whirl and hopback. Relax and enjoy! Leisure Time Lager uses locally grown wheat from MA.

Bottoe in NH. Pours clear, pale yellow with a fine, foamy white head. Inviting aroma of mild lemongrass, dry pale malts and wheat. Light sweet flavor with mild lemon meringue, pale white bread, straw. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, more white bread, moderate lemongrass. Tasty, very drinkable.

Pours a very hazy, light gold with some frothy white head. Nose of grass, light coriander, hay, some orange zest, a little white bread. Flavor is nice, grass, hay, light spice, light bread, light yeast, light lemon. Watery finish. I could drink a million of these.

Bottle from Julio’s. Looks like a Coors Light in my pint glass, sizable retention from a vigorous pour. Nose smells much like a Macro lager. Thank god it tastes much better. Wheat malt and a touch of orange peel is there in the finish. The mouthfeel is lively from the carbonation. Not nearly as good as the the pervious lager I just sampled from Jacks. This is ok for somebody who likes light beers or is just starting in craft beer.

Pours a slightly hazy straw color with a smallish off white head that quickly dissipates to a cap. Smells of bready pilsner a spicy wheat malt. Spicy lemony aroma with a hint of grass. The taste is malty and grainy with spice from the wheat and the spices. Lemony and honey sweetness. Light body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet grainy mouthfeel. Nice clean well made lager with a twist. Nice to try but for me lacks that wow factor.

Pours pale yellow into a Sam glass. Bright white micro head conglomerates as it recedes leaving spider lacing. Sweet citrus and coriander aromas. Sweet yeast and marshmallow upfront turning to an abrupt wheat and mild lemon citrus finish.
