Two Roads own brewing czar, Phil Markowski, has taken a traditional Russian Imperial Stout and added a touch of "Amerika" to create a version that's sure to please!
This most unorthodox Russian Imperial Stout is brewed with malted rye and aggressively hopped with four different Pacific Northwest varieties to create a depth of character that's unmistakable.
Full-bodied with notes of rye, treacle, chocolate and espresso that join together to create a crescendo of flavor. You’ll want to do an unabashed Kalinka after just one taste!

Bottle at tasting. Black pour. Aroma is really fruity, with passion fruit and hop and some roasted malt of course. Taste has lots of passion fruit, coffee and a mild roastedness. Mellow fruity finish, abv well hidden. This is really a Black imperial IPA, way too fruity and hoppy for a ’normal’ ris. Good beer though.

A black beer with a creamy, medium and light brown head. Aroma has strong pine and citrusfruits, coffee and liqurice, hint of dark chocolate. Great aroma. Taste has liquirice, coffee, pine nad grapefruits. Medium+ bodied, quite smooth, mild carbonation. Strongly hopped IS. Very good and tasteful beer.

Draft @ Hoppy Loft.

Czarny z brazowa piana, no sliczny po prostu. Aromat slodkawy, palony, zacheca do wziecia pierwszego lyka. Delikatnie gesty syrop pieknie piesci moje gardlo i rozgrzewa trzewia. Poezja po prostu. Slodkawy, delikatnie palony z delikatna kwaskowoscia na koncu. Alkohol swietnie ukryty.

Black color with beige head. Coffee and chocolate. Rather dry. Roasted malts. Taste is the same, rather dry. Due to the dryness there is more of a coffee feeling there. Smooth carbonation. Good, but not over the top for an Imperial Stout.

Pours black into a snifter. Off-white head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Hot licorice aromas. Medium bodied with dark hot chocolate covered caramel and licorice upfront turning to dry soy and bitter chocolate in the lasting finish.
