  Stout - Imperial Regular

Two Roads own brewing czar, Phil Markowski, has taken a traditional Russian Imperial Stout and added a touch of "Amerika" to create a version that's sure to please!

This most unorthodox Russian Imperial Stout is brewed with malted rye and aggressively hopped with four different Pacific Northwest varieties to create a depth of character that's unmistakable.

Full-bodied with notes of rye, treacle, chocolate and espresso that join together to create a crescendo of flavor. You’ll want to do an unabashed Kalinka after just one taste!

Keg share thanks to niall. Opaque black coloured pour with. A lasting cream tan head. Aroma is spicy cinammon, soft roast, flavour is roast, some harsh roast and warming alcohol, dark choc and burnt brown sugar. Lingering burnt sugar. Palate is medium with moderate carbonation. Harsh acrid lingering flavours is too much.

Bottle at Craig’s. It pours near black with a rugged tan head. The nose is earth, dark chocolate, vanilla, marshmallow, coffee and mild acidity. The taste is rich, roasty, toast, earth, coffee, light tang, dark fruits, plum, dirt and more tang with a earthy finish. Medium-full body and fine carbonation. A bit of tang is too much for me. Ok still.
