We had the boys from Amager Bryghus in Denmark come by to make this one with us. The base beer is a pilsner, but we loaded it full of rye malt as well. Over 25% rye, this beer packs a spicy wallop associated with that grain. The hop bill was then weighted heavily toward American hops to create the piney, citrusy character you will get in the nose and flavor of this beer. Lager yeast was then employed to get a crisp, dry finish that really emphasizes the rye and hop characters that are the features. When a man’s got beer in his belly, he begins to appreciate peace.

Tap at Craft Covent Garden. Bit of sweetness, caramel, light rye weirdness. Feels a bit boozy. Not quite sure about it. Little bit of plastic. Tastes alright, but not sure it's for me. Sweetness and a more dry maltiness seem to be fighting for my attention a little.

Keg, half pint shared with Finn at Craft Beer Co St Mary Axe. Patchy surface, fair lacing, hazy brown coloured body. Juicy malts on the nose. Good taste of mid-tart fruits, bread, dusty hops and wood. Fruity bitter end. Well bodied. A nice one, tasty and refreshing (London 30.11.2015).

Fra keg på Craft St Marys Axe 30 Nov 15. Delt med Rune. Mørk aprikosfarget. Lavt tett skum. Bra aroma av mørke druer. Tynn teppelacing. Smaken lett metallisk. Syrlig frukt. Bra - men det metalliske kom tilbake i avslutninga.

Craft (not in) St Mary’s Axe. Keg. Hazy amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is airy and finely minerally crisp. Light malt cream with a nice rye tang. Mild spice, slightly perfumey. Tangy dried fruits and a touch of orange peel. Spicy smooth finish. Entertaining.
