2/3rd's from the tap at Fogg Bar Birras & Cheese in Madrid. Pours a slightly see though near black rather like a popular cola soft drink which I don't actually like. But this is highly enjoyable with aromas & tastes of coffee, citrus, flora, pine & roasted malt. Medium body. Moderate bitter finish

Bottle thanks to JerseyIslandBeer. Appearance - black and opaque, beige head. Nose - faint orange but mainly roasty with a hint of pine. Taste - chocolate and roast mainly. Palate - light to medium bodied and roasty. Overall - quite nice, perhaps more of a hopped stout than a black IPA.

Bottle at ash's. Pours deep brown, nose is roasted, chocolate, piney, taste is sweet, piney, chocolate, quite bitter.

Bottle at Ash's. Pours hazy dark brown with a thick beige head. Aromas of ash and charcoal. Taste is burnt roast marmalade. Bitter finish.

Bottled. A dark brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of citrus fruits, roasted malt, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrus fruits, hops, and roasted malt, leading to a bitter finish.

33cl bottle, BB 02/02/2022.
Couleur brune foncée-presque noire, col beige - blanc-cassé.
Arôme renvoie à des étoiles de classiques Cascadian dark - nez plaisant avec un agréable mélange entre des agrumes - résineux et l'apport des malts dont des notes de grillé-toasté, caramel, petite note de chocolat.
Palais est excellent et de suite me rappelle le caractère Cascadian d'il y a plusieurs années - époque où Deschutes mettait cela à jour. Malté avec un léger caramel, pâle, presque grillé avec une pointe de toasté. Houblonné virant sur le c-hops, voire CTZ - excellent résineux et agrumes.
