330 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly crystal clear dark reddish brown color with a small dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big tart raspberry, cranberry, cherry, red grape, apricot, green apple, hay, straw, brown sugar, toasted oak, light chocolate, red wine vinegar, light pepper/funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, oak barrel, and moderate malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart raspberry, cranberry, cherry, red grape, apricot, green apple, hay, straw, brown sugar, toasted oak, light chocolate, red wine vinegar, vanilla, light pepper/funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-medium fruity/acidic tartness and yeast/oak spice on the finish; with lingering notes of raspberry, cranberry, cherry, red grape, apricot, green apple, hay, straw, brown sugar, toasted oak, red wine vinegar, vanilla, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, oak barrel, and moderate malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness form acidity as well. Light-medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly acidic, and light creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice Flanders brown ale style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, oak barrel, and moderate malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink with the balanced acidity. A very enjoyable offering.

Bof!

On tap at Engine House No 9, pours a deep dark brown with a large beige head. Aroma brings out dark tart cherries, some balsamic vinegar, and leather. Flavour is along the same lines, with notes of leather, tart dark fruits, some acetic / vinegary notes, and a little tart cherry. Cohesive, complex and well-refined. Excellent.

Tap at CBF. Some saison aroma, but lots of bruin. Nice sour taste, and quite dry. Beautiful!

Riktigt trevlig.
