Bottle sample courtesy Grumbo, cheers! Aroma is sweet baked caramel pear, brown sugar and wood. Taste is of brown sugar, pear, alcohol and citrus. Limited carbonation with a long finish. Very nice.

75cl bottle picked up from Halfpenny Green. Clear pale gold. Distinctive perry pear fragrance, citrus. Juicy perry fruit comes through nicely to taste, characterful with light floral notes, gentle citrus, finishing dry. Very good.

Sample thanks to Danlo: Poured a clear with a yellowness, head is bubble. Aroma is ripe pears, light leather. Taste is semi-sweet pear, graham cracker, light leathery.

9/11/2021. Bottle sample courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed! Pours clear pale golden green with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is sweet, pear, citrus, caramel, sugar syrup, woody edge. Medium plus sweetness, tart edge. Medium body, oily texture, minimal carbonation. Very nice.

750ml bottle from Halfpenny Green. Pale yellow gold colour, some short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of perry pear, woody. Taste is sweetish, perry pear, green pear, fleshy, mellow, juicy, with some tart citric acidity and tannin. Syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, medium-dry finish. Nicely drinkable.
