Sample courtesy of minutemat, cheers Mat! Golden colour, afew short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of fruity apple, juicy. Taste is fruity apple, some skin and core, tart with a mellow grapey note and some tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, medium dry tangy & tannic finish. Quite drinkable.

Scrumpy bottle from Burrow Hill Cider farm. Clear gold appearance, natural apple juice aroma, oily palate, wine like acidity, clean apple fruit, grape, gooseberry, very subtle tannic fuzz. Highly drinkable scrumpy, great drinkability, no harsh notes.

1 litre bottle bought from the producer at the University of the West of England, Bristol. Deep gold in colour and dead flat with no carbonation. Dryish aroma of apple juice, with a hint of the barnyard and some honey in the background. Flavour was medium dry with plenty of fruit, some oak and more honey, before a medium sweet finish. Very different in character from the dry, particularly the lack of fizz, but good all the same.
