Bottle from Trade with fonefan, many thanks!

Opaque dark brown beer, decent pale tan head. Palate is smooth and airy. Smooth and mild dark malts, good dose of lactose like sweetness. Little dark chocolate and a touch of tangy dark fruits. Light dry finish. Okay.

On tap at Basement Beer Bar. An almost black one, with a dense, dark beige head on top. Quite burnt aroma, with coffee, dark chocolate and some molasses. It’s very smooth on the palate, full bodied and pleasantly carbonated. Smooth flavor with roasted malts, coffee, some dark chocolate and bonfire notes. Decent bitterness. Lasting roasted finish with some dark sugar. Tasteful for sure. 141026
