Aud Blonde may be the lightest colored beer we have ever brewed at Russian River Brewing Company, but don't be fooled into thinking that this beer is light in flavor. Aud Blonde has a refined characteristic, which can be contributed to us blending pilsner malt with a unique hop called crystal. The distinctive characteristic of the crystal hop lends a citrus, almost eucalyptus quality in the aroma and mouth feel of the brew, while leaving the beer with a long dry finish.

Straw, medium white, has a nice pale malt note, touch of bitterness, some citrus and a hint of tartness. More going on than I expected.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours clear veryvpale yellow. Aroma is blonde indeed, and sweeter than the She’s So Italian. Body is not heavier though, even if it also is a tad sweeter. Great drinkability again.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours clear yellow with a frothy white head. The nose has biscuits, hay, cereal, pale grains. Light sweet flavor with moderate pale grain husk bitterness, more hay, dry cereal, wheat, straw. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dry finish, with more grassy bitterness, grain husk, hay. Nicely balanced stuff. Very drinkable.
