Aud Blonde may be the lightest colored beer we have ever brewed at Russian River Brewing Company, but don't be fooled into thinking that this beer is light in flavor. Aud Blonde has a refined characteristic, which can be contributed to us blending pilsner malt with a unique hop called crystal. The distinctive characteristic of the crystal hop lends a citrus, almost eucalyptus quality in the aroma and mouth feel of the brew, while leaving the beer with a long dry finish.

Sampler at the brewpub in Santa Rosa. Hazy golden color with small white head. Some grapefruit, floral-herbal, grainy-malty. A nice dry golden Ale, but well... Not my style again.

Keg at Russian River (I didn’t come 6,000 miles to tick Golden Fucking Blondes - but I had to of course), Santa Rosa, 27/04/14. Pale golden blonde with a moderate off white swirl atop the glass. Nose is orange, citric rind, light florals, bread dough. Taste comprises floral hops, straw, lemon rind, orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with lemon bitterness. Ok GB, may benefit from being cask conditioned to work the flavours out a little more.

Draft - sour grapefruit and lemon. Pale gold with a thin white head. Light grapefruit, grass and a light bitterness. Not as sweet as expected, a great refreshing interpretation.
