Aud Blonde may be the lightest colored beer we have ever brewed at Russian River Brewing Company, but don't be fooled into thinking that this beer is light in flavor. Aud Blonde has a refined characteristic, which can be contributed to us blending pilsner malt with a unique hop called crystal. The distinctive characteristic of the crystal hop lends a citrus, almost eucalyptus quality in the aroma and mouth feel of the brew, while leaving the beer with a long dry finish.

On tap at Russian River, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Nose is pretty light, with some crackery malt and some light floral notes. Flavour is very light and subtle, with lightly bitter floral notes and crisp crackery malt to back. Very light drinking on the palate, and highly drinkable. Good stuff for a boring style.

On tap at the brewpub. It is a clear pale golden beer with a white head. The aroma has pale malts and fruityness, quite straight forward and unexiting, but pleasant. The same goes for the flavor, where there’s also some bitterness. Pale malts and a generic fruityness. Medium to thin on the palate. Far from the most exiting beer I’ve had, but a quenching and nice one anyway. 130806

Sample at the brewpub. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes steadily. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of citrusy hops, pine and malt. The finish is dry with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Golden blond colour. Although it’s quite thin and watery there’s a creamy, malty feel and a fresh hop taste.

1 oz pour at Russian River.
A - Very light straw color with no head.
S - Grapefruit and pine cones. Lots of simcoe and amarillo
T - Hints of grapefruit, pine cones and lemons. Very piney and dry.
M - Light body and carbonation.
O - This is an okay beer. Zero balance though with a very light malt bill but a dominating hop bitterness.
